London

Well we have had even more excitement!  I have been on a train to London!

Here I am with Mr. Steve on the train.  Mr. Steve and Miss Ginny had to go to London to see if they could get a special paper called a visa so that they can come to live with Bella, Chloe and Jack in the USA.  We stayed in another nice hotel and we saw lots of things.

This is a picture of a shop called Harrods.  You can buy anything there - even houses!  And we saw lots of English policemen.  You can see them in the other picture.

We also saw lots and lots of red double decker buses in London.  Here are three of them all together

When Miss Ginny and Mr. Steve found out they could come and live in the USA they were very excited.  They wrote the word 'VISA' on the message board at the station.

You will also see that I have an English cape to wear.  Miss Ginny made it for me.  What do you think?

I have had a lovely time in the UK.  I'm off to Ireland now.

Bye!

Cambridge

What an exciting time I have had.  Miss Ginny and Mr. Steve took me in Miss Ginny's car.  It was a surprise for Miss Ginny so we didn't know where we were going.  Mr. Steve just gave directions!

We ended up in Cambridge!  This is where one of the best universities in the UK is.  There are 31 colleges that make up the University.  It's a beautiful city.

We stayed in a nice hotel - just look at all the pillows on my bed!

This is what we could see outside of the window.  The river is called the River Cam.

It looked so lovely, we decided we would go for a trip on the river.  In Cambridge they have special boats called punts which are moved with a pole.

This is me and Tom.  He was our punter on the river.  You can see how he pushes the punt with the pole in the next photo.

And this is me relaxing on a blanket in the punt!  There are lots of bridges on the River Cam that join some of the colleges together.

This one is called the Bridge of Sighs.  I was sitting with Miss Ginny and Mr. Steve here.
This bridge is made of wood and is called the Mathematical Bridge.  It leads into Queen's College and it is amazing.  What shapes can you see?

This is me just relaxing in the punt.  You can see a little bit of King's College on the bank of the River Cam just here.

We saw this amazing clock in the middle of Cambridge.  The funny creature on the top is called a Chronopharge!

We had a wonderful time.  How lucky am I?

Our evening meal

We had to prepare all the salad of course.

So this is the lovely meal that Mr. Steve and I put together!

Thank you for letting me be your kitchen assistant Chef Steve!

Cooking

Today, Mr. Steve let me help him make the mayonnaise for the salad we are having tonight.  It was fun.  We just used egg yolk, mustard, oil, salt and pepper and a little bit of lemon juice

Here we both are with the finished mayonnaise.  I am really looking forward to dinner tonight!

Hello

Hello, I'm Flat Aubree  and I am on an amazing adventure!
I arrived in the UK on the 19th of July 2012.  It was cold and rainy - very different from sunny California where I usually live.  I am staying with Miss Ginny and Mr. Steve.
I rested a lot on the first day that I arrived because I was so tired.

On Friday 20th July, Miss Ginny took me to school.  This is a picture of the school:

Here is a picture of me with Mrs. Mosey who is a lollipop lady and she helps the children cross the road safely at school.
You can see a big picture of the Union Jack flag of the UK with a picture of Queen Elizabeth on it that the children made.  It looked very clever!

We went to church in the morning to celebrate the good work that the children had done.  Here I am in the church by one of the windows:

Then, and this is VERY exciting, I was invited to a Pirates and Princess party that some of the children were having

and of course some of the older children wanted to meet me too.

I had a lovely time - thank you All Saints' School
